In Trouble!

Lake had to go to the principal's office! I was picking up Lake from daycare and the lady up front said hold on just a second, we need to talk to you about Lake. (You know when they say this it is not a good sign) She proceeded to tell me that Lake pushed another child. The kid fell into the bookshelf and sliced his eye. They had to take the kid to the emerengy room to get stitches. I was speechless. All I could think was "Oh my goodness, I can't believe he did this." I left without saying much. When we got into the car I asked Lake, "Did you push Ben?" He said "Mommy, he hit me in the cheek." I know this is not an excuse for the pushing but I felt a little better. I called Jeff and told him to go to the daycare and get the full story. He went back but didn't get much more information but they said they would have a full report for him the next day. The next morning she told me that she talked to his teachers and they said they were arguing over a toy. She said that they wrestle and push each other all the time. I told her to start putting Lake time out for pushing. This will definately have to go in the baby book. Boys will be boys!

Oh my goodness! I agree that the kid needed some payback! I dread it when C gets involved with these things. Today he told me that he didnt like one of the boys. When I asked why he said,"its MY cracker!" Sure enough, I asked Betty and they were fighting over a cracker yesterday. Boys, boys... What are we going to do with them?

Well, don't be too hard on yourself. After all they are only 2-3 yrs. old. And really, the teachers should be feeling a little responsible. I would!
