Trick or Treat!

Lake really enjoyed Halloween this year. He wouldn't say "trick or treat" but he did hold out his bucket and say "more canny!" He had two costumes this year. He was Dumbo,(Thanks Anne) and he was an Indian, (Thanks Mamaw). He wore Dumbo to daycare, and he was an Indian for trick or Treating. When we went to search for what the "Great Pumpkin" had brought him, he had to put his Dumbo costume back on. He loved watching all the kids come to our house. We ran out of candy at 9:00, (I had bought enough stuff for 130 kids). We had to send the rest of the kids away. When did parents start trick or treating by vans and cars...They had loads of kids in their cars and they were crusing by slowly and the kids would jump in and out as they rode down the streets. Alot of kids didn't even have costumes; and they were too old, like high school aged. Jeff didn't even want to give them candy...Oh well, maybe next year we will post some rules. Hope everyone had a fun Halloween!

It looks like Lake had fun! I like the Indian costume, it's very cute.
Yeah, I think now that kids just have their parents drive them around to get a much candy as possible. It's ridiculous. As every year, we didn't get any trick-or-treaters. Oh well.

Now thats the cutest little indian and Dumbo I ever saw! Connor pretty much did the same thing. No "trick or treat" either, even though we rehearsed it over and over. He did know just what to do though and had a blast. Isnt is so great having a kid now for Halloween! I am loving it. I also know exactly what you mean about the cars and older kids. We had the same problem. I saw one kid or "adult" get out of the car with a cardboard box around him that said "NOBAMA!" Can you believe that. I told Brad that if he can to our door I was going to ask him how old he was and send him away. It is just ridiculous. And so many kids without costumes... Dont they know the rules!
